If you have small children, one of the things that is so much fun around Christmas is to keep the magic of Santa alive for as long as possible. Whether you have an Elf on the Shelf or you encourage your children to write letters to Santa, there are other things that you can do on Christmas Eve to help the magic going. Here are three things you can do that are easy yet effective.
Encourage Them to Leave Snacks Out
After all, Santa has a lot of work to do on Christmas Eve. He wants a little snack. So a snack for him and the reindeer. A couple of cookies and a glass of milk make a good option for Santa. The reindeer will prefer carrots though.
Have ‘Santa” take a bite from the cookie and drink some of the milk and make sure that the ‘reindeer’ take a few nibbles from the carrots.
Of course, if you have pets, make sure that you keep the snacks away from your pets.
Use Apps
There are so many apps available that you can use to make Santa look real. From Santa calling your phone to sending a message to catching Santa in the house, so many fun options you can choose from. You can even use a Santa tracker to watch him go across the sky!
Santa Key
Many children are concerned because they don’t have a chimney, or they are wondering how Santa will get down a skinny chimney (like Big Bird did in Christmas Eve on Sesame Street). This can be solved with a magic key. You can get a skeleton key online. Make a tag that says Magic Key for Santa and tie it on with a festive ribbon. Have your children leave it out for Santa.
Watch a Santa Movie
One of the best ones is The Polar Express. It is about a boy who still isn’t sure about whether Santa really exists and how he meets him. It’s a lovely movie for the whole family.
These are some special ways that you can keep the magic of Santa alive in your children for as long as possible. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas this year!
